Step 3

Now you will learn how the pieces move. The pawn is the little piece and is able to either move 1 square up or 2 squares up from the start. Although the pawn is only able to move straight up, you are only able to take your opponents piece if they something diagonally above your pawn.

Step 4

The next piece you will learn to move is the knight. The knight is the horse and is able to go 2 up and 1 to the right/left, 2 down and 1 to the right or left, 1 up and 2 to the right or left and 1 down and 2 to the right or left. If your opponents piece is on a sqaure that your knight can get to, you may take there piece.
