Step 5

The next piece you will learn how to move is the Bishop. The Bishop is the third piece from the side and is able to move diagonally from whatever color square they are on. If your opponents piece is diagonally lined up with your bishop, you may take there piece as long as you have nothing blocking it.

Step 6

The next piece you will learn how to use is the rook. The rook is the piece all the way at the ends and are able to move up, down and left to right. If your opponent has a piece that is lined up with your rook, you may take the piece as long as you don't have a piece blocking it.
